There are some simple tools to help anyone with a great story to tell
- who does not enjoy writing
- does not relish the role of being a writer and
- for all of you who feel too busy to stop doing stuff and writing down a story.
We have to get the content into a digital written form to work with. How can we do it, without breaking a sweat?
1 . You can pick up a phone and record your thoughts immediately. You do need to talk in sentences and you do need to get enough information down to return to the mental creative state again. I hope I am not the only one who has written themselves a note and returned to the note later wondering what was supposed to be interesting in that note. You do have to capture the mood.
You can even speak into a phone and use talk to text technology. The IPhone does talk to text. Google Voice does talk to text. You do have to speak distinct separate words. These systems do wonderful concatenations of letters while sounding out words. They would be entertaining if they didn’t need to be deciphered.
2. You can write a rough draft and then come back and smooth it out later or let a copywriter smooth it out.
3. You can work as a team and share ideas and notes and create compelling content. Someone can take pictures, someone else can write the story.
4. You can record content into audio recordings.You can document in pictures and then blend the pictures into a story or even a video with an audio connector. You can write up short posts that tell a simple story and post it on a blog.
5. You don’t even have to write, you can talk-to-text like Nuance DragonSpeak. We already mentioned the IPhone and Google Voice.
6. I have clients that I interview on VOIP and record the message for later condensation and crafting into text.
